Engagement and fees
How an engagement is structured, and what is quoted when.
We do not publish a flat fee, because every project differs in volume, category mix and how much QA and logistics oversight it needs. This page explains how an engagement works and when each cost is quoted.
Where an engagement starts
The first step is a conversation about your project, or a feasibility review of your categories. We tell you honestly whether direct sourcing makes sense for it, and where.
What is quoted, and when
- Our fee
- Scoped per project once we understand the categories, volume and the oversight you need.
- Trip costs
- Flights are not included in a buying trip. We confirm what is included before you apply.
- Supplier payments
- Deposits are structured per order. A deposit is typical, and the schedule is agreed per order before you commit.
- Inspection
- Pre-shipment inspection is part of our process. Independent third-party inspection is optional.
- Freight, duty, GST, port and cartage
- Estimated before you commit, and confirmed as the shipment is booked. See Landed cost.
Terms in brief
Cancellation and deposit terms for trips are confirmed in writing before you commit. We do not state them here until they are confirmed.
Ask what it would cost for your project.
Tell us about your project and we will explain how it would be scoped.
