Why this matters now

Three things that cost you margin

1

Large-format and premium ranges cost more locally

The ranges clients ask for are the ones with the thinnest margin.

2

Slip rating and batch consistency are callback risks

A wrong rating or a shade mismatch is found on site, when it is hardest to fix.

3

Breakage and shade variation arrive late

By the time the container is opened, it is too late to change anything.

Construction sourcing is now a global price check. Your local suppliers know it. Material costs are up, margins are tight, and a single supplier can hold your programme. The answer is not the cheapest quote. It is a second, controlled supply line that runs alongside your local one, used selectively in the categories that move your margin.

What managed means

How tiles and stone are handled

You do not import. We run the sourcing for you: shortlist and vet factories, translate and negotiate, approve samples, inspect before shipment, and coordinate freight and customs to your site. You keep control of every decision. We carry the detail.

Slip-resistance documents

We ask for test reports against the relevant Australian standard, such as AS 4586.

Large-format capability

Porcelain panels up to 3200 x 1600 mm.

Shade and batch control

Samples and batch checks before the full order is produced.

Packing and inspection

Packing standards agreed up front, inspection before shipment.

Questions

What people ask first

Can you source slip-rated tiles?

Yes. We request slip-resistance test reports for the exact product, and your certifier confirms it suits the application.

How do you control shade variation?

Samples are approved first, and batches are checked against them before shipment.

Does the product meet Australian standards?

Compliance depends on the category. We ask each factory for the relevant test reports and certification, and your certifier makes the final call. See our compliance page for the detail by category.

How long does it take?

About 6 to 8 weeks from the end of the China trip to delivery on site: production 2 to 4 weeks, sea freight about 3 weeks, customs and delivery about 1 week. Production time depends on the product category.

Is it risky?

The risk is not China. The risk is doing it without a system. Shortlisted factories are vetted before you meet them, samples are approved before production, and goods are inspected before they ship.
